June OIT sends you an information packet that will include your NET ID and password. You will need these to access Duke email and to register for classes.
June Contact the Academic Advising Office to find out who your assigned summer advising dean will be. Then contact your dean and discuss transfer credits and fall registration.
June 24 Register for four 1.0 credit courses by this date. You may still add and drop courses after this date, but course offerings will be more limited. Incoming freshmen register on June 24, 25 and 26, and courses will fill at that time.
July/August Schedule an appointment to meet with your dean to finalize transfer credits, go over curriculum requirements, and, if appropriate, declare your major. Appointments may be in person or by phone.
Tuesday, August 19 New student orientation and move-in begins. Schedule an appointment with your dean for this week.
Monday, August 25 First day of classes
Friday, September 5 Last day of drop/add.
